Rose's Meat Market and Sweet Shop will focus on nose-to-tail butchery of locally raised meats from sustainable farms, charcuterie, house-made baked goods, and more. The owners, Katie and Justin Meddis, who moved here from San Francisco to open their business, have landed prime real estate and signed a lease at 121 North Gregson Street Durham, NC 27701, the former home of Clear-Vue Glass. Rose's will be in the front showroom. Rose's is within walking distance to Brightleaf Square shopping, around the corner from Respite, next door to The Retreat and down the block from Alivia’s. There will be plenty of parking available in front and next to the Retreat as well. Rose's hopes to open in June.
Rose's has launched a Kickstarter campaign to help raise money for the project. There will also be a Kickstarter party at The Pinhook 117 West Main Street Durham 27701 on April 28th from 7 pm-10 pm.
