7 Days To Go On Hub Farm Kickstarter

The Durham Public Schools Hub Farm cross the finish line of a successful Kickstarter project.

The Hub Farm engages DPS students and teachers, as well as the greater Durham community, in all aspects of the local food system, environmental stewardship and career development. With limited funding and a lot of community support, it is becoming a learning resource for all 56 schools.
                                                                             
Students from the NCSU School of Architecture have donated their design skills and manpower to create a Floating Lab at the Hub Farm that gives students a direct experience with the cyclical nature of water and access to the pond water for sample collection and testing. The Lab also provides a shaded space for teachers and students to gather for lessons. With seven days to go to the August 14 deadline, the Hub Farm is $3500 away meeting a Kickstarter goal to support the Floating Lab.
