Durham's own Beyu Caffe will host two very special musical guests on Thursday night.
Joey Williams, Grammy Winner from the Blind Boys of Alabama, and Robert Randolph & the Family Band will be at Beyu Caffe this Thursday, Sept. 12th at 9:30PM
The Joey Williams Project is a R&B/Soul group fronted by guitarist and singer Joey Williams. His work with The Blind Boys of Alabama and Robert Randolph and The Family Band has earned him 5 Grammy Awards including the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
Williams recently finished his official solo album JWP, and is gearing up to steer his own band with the same soul power as he has over the past 3 decades with his previous counterparts. A true world-class musician, Joey has shared the stage with Tom Petty, Sheryl Crow, Robert Plant, Prince, Kanye West, (just to mention a few), and will be performing all over the world under his debut solo effort.
Celebrated by The Grammys and The National Endowment for the Arts with Lifetime Achievement Awards, inducted into The Gospel Music Hall of Fame, Alabama Music Hall of Fame, sung for two presidents in the White House and winner of 5-Grammy® Awards. Performed on The Tonight Show, Late Night with David Letterman, the Grammy® Awards telecast, 60 Minutes, and soon at Beyu Caffe!
We are extending our hours Thursday night just for this show! And it's free to attend! No cover charge. Beyu Caffe is located at 335 W. Main St. Durham, NC 27701.
