Durham's Northgate Mall is pleased to announce its debut as host of the Volunteer Center of Durham's ever-popular GREAT HUMAN RACE, Saturday, March 24 at 8:30am. Now in its seventeenth year, the unique 5K run and community walk that supports over 100 nonprofits,
schools and faith-based groups, has raised over $1.6 million for area groups since its inception in 1996.Northgate will welcome over 1,000 runners and 2,000 walkers on Saturday, March 24. The event will include a kids’ playground area, local entertainment, refreshments and plenty of free parking. The new 5K course will wind through the historic Watts Hospital-Hillandale neighborhood adjacent to Northgate.
