Durham Farmers' Market's Wednesday Market to Open on April 20th

Durham Farmers' Markets fans can now get their produce fix twice a week. April 20th marks the opening day of the 4th Season of Durham Farmers' Market's Wednesday Market.  That's great news as the opening day comes weeks earlier than in previous years. Wednesday Market features vegetables, fruits, meats, eggs, cheeses, bread, flowers and more. Two farms that participate exclusively on Wednesdays,Small Potatoes Farm and Ever Laughter Farm, will return for the season.

Starting at Wednesday Market in May, Durham Farmers Market will launch a monthly series called Quick and Delicious Market Dinners. Each month, a chef will visit the Market to demonstrate simple recipes that can be prepared primarily from ingredients from the market. The series will kick off on May 18th with Anne Everitt from Let's Start Cooking.

Currently in season: strawberries, asparagus, lettuce, arugula, spinach, bok choi, swiss chard, collards, kale, cabbage, fresh herbs, fennel, pea shoots, shiitake mushrooms, beets, broccoli, leeks, green onions and greenhouse grown tomatoes.
