CenterFest Now Accepting Artist Applications

Artists and visitors alike are invited to join 25,000+ of their closest friends in Durham for one of the most exciting visual arts festivals in North Carolina!

This year, the Durham Arts Council will celebrates the 39th Annual CenterFest Arts Festival September 21-22, 2013 in Downtown Durham. CenterFest is the longest running juried outdoor arts festival in North Carolina and the largest arts and community festival in Durham. CenterFest showcases over 150 juried visual and performing artists from across the country and provides visitors with great food, diverse entertainment, and educational activities for families. CenterFest features Visual Artists' work in clay, drawing, fiber, glass, painting, photography, printmaking, wood, jewelry, sculpture, mixed media and more.

CenterFest is now accepting applications from artists to showcase their work at CenterFest. The 2013 Artist Awards range in value from $400 prizes for third place to $1,000 prizes for best of show. There will also be a prize for the CenterFest Citizens' Choice Award.The deadline for visual artist applications is May 31, 2013 and applications can be found here. New and returning artists who wish to participate in CenterFest 2013 must submit an application on-line with images and an application fee. Convenient on-line payment and image upload are available and the application fee is due with the application. Booth fees are due when the artist is accepted.
