The Bulls return to Durham on Wednesday, April 17 to kick off their second homestand of the season, which features nine games in the span of ten days. The first of two Bark in the Park events, two Friday Night Fireworks shows, two midweek day games, and a team autograph session highlight the promotional events schedule.
Man’s best friend gets run of the DBAP on Wednesday, April 17 when the Bulls face the Charlotte Knights. The first of two scheduled Bark in the Park events this season gives four-legged Bulls fans and their owners a chance to get tickets for $10.99 in a special pet section of the Outfield Reserved, or $25 tickets that include a 2-hour all-you-can-eat buffet. $5 of each Bark in the Park ticket purchase goes to benefit Second Chance Pet Adoptions. Tickets for the pet section at Bark in the Park can be ordered online at online using the promo code BARK. New for 2013, both human and canine fans will be treated to several in-game performances by the K9 Crew Frisbee Dogs.
Wednesday will also feature the debut of WilVille, a Wil Myers-themed seating section at the DBAP. For $20, fans can get a ticket in the WilVille section (Field Reserved section 122 adjacent to Myers’ most frequent playing position), an exclusive WilVille t-shirt and $5 in food credit.
The Bulls and Knights, Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, wrap up a short two-game series with an afternoon contest on Thursday, April 18. Thursday’s game will begin at 11:05am, as it is the first of two scheduled Education Days in 2013. Thursday home games at the DBAP (with the exception of July 4) will feature $1 Bright Leaf hot dogs, popcorn and fries. Thursday is also College Day, where students can get a Terrace Reserved ticket and $5 in Bulls Bucks for just $10 or an Outfield Reserved ticket for only $4.99 by entering the promo code COLLEGE (and using a valid .edu email address) when purchasing tickets online at online.
The division rival Norfolk Tides make their second visit of the young season beginning on Friday, April 19. Friday’s 7:05pm game, presented by Durham Marriott City Center, will be followed by a huge Friday Night Fireworks show.
On Saturday, April 20, the Bulls and Tides 5:05pm contest will be preceded by the Blue 5K at the Ballpark, presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of NC. For information on registering for the race, which begins and ends at the DBAP at 4:15pm, click here. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of NC also presents the game that night, which will be followed by a postgame team autograph session that is free to fans.
The Bulls conclude the series with the Baltimore Orioles’ top affiliate on Sunday, April 21. Sunday’s 5:05pm contest features the first Pepsi Kids Run the Bases event of the 2013 season, which immediately follows the game.
After an off day on Monday, the Bulls welcome the Toledo Mud Hens for a four game set beginning on Tuesday, April 22. It will be the only visit of the year for the Detroit Tigers’ Triple-A affiliate. Tuesday’s 7:05pm game is the second AAA Membership Card Night of the year. At every Tuesday home game in 2013, fans who show their AAA Membership Card can buy one Terrace Reserved ticket and get one free, courtesy of AAA Carolinas.
Wednesday, April 24 is the second midweek matinee game of the homestand, with first pitch scheduled for 1:05pm. Fans will get another chance to take advantage of $1 food items and College Night specials on the second Thursday game of the homestand on April 25 at 7:05pm.
The lengthy homestand concludes on Friday, April 26 as Triangle Orthopaedic Associates presents the 7:05pm series finale with Toledo and the postgame Friday Night Fireworks show immediately following the game.
