In Durham, as in other cities, the competition is often fierce for positions for older adults. That's why it's important for older adults to distinguish themselves from competitors on the job market.

The Durham Center for Senior Life and Department of Commerce Employment Services are offering a career and enrichment expo geared to providing seniors 55 and older an opportunity to learn about and apply for full/part-time employment.

The expo is divided into two day sessions. Day 1 will allow attendees to attend upbeat motivational workshops geared to the mature worker to assist in making them more marketable in this fierce job market.  Workshops will rotate throughout the day.  On Day 2 attendees will interact and interview with employers and can submit or applications onsite employers.

The expo will be held at The Durham Center for Senior Life located at 406 Rigsbee Avenue Suite 202 - on Monday, April 15th and Tuesday, April 16th from 9:30am to 3:45pm.  Pre-registration is required by Friday, April 10, 2013.
